Another thing that helps me is thinking about my friends' kids as part of our friend group. They are my smaller friends :) I hope when your sister's kids are older you can spend more time together

38yo childfree by choice here. Something that helps me is thinking about all the things I can enjoy alone and would not be able to if I had a kid (to the same degree at least for several years). This appreciation changes my perspective. I am not lonely, I am free.
