I love that Supergirl, this Supergirl, wants to make sure everyone is good like superman, but knows it's too late for her and will do the hard stuff, Superman would never. She is the solution to the hard questions and she hates herself for it, but is trying to forgive and live with it as best she can, I just absolutely LOVE her!

She wants to protect Ruthye’s innocence because hers is gone and she doesn’t want her to be like her, to hurt like her. The contrast with the scenes from Krypton where Kara was still innocent were amazing. Milly did an incredible job of showing the nuances of the character. You can see she’s always hurting even though she tries to hide it.I hope to see more of this Supergirl. She’s a really interesting complex character and Milly plays her perfectly.

I felt so bad for Kara in this version because her fate was crueler: she got to be with her parents but she got to watch them slowly die before her dying father rebuilds his brother’s lifeboat ship to save her. That bit where she wants to be buried her mother 😭
