Freeze for 1 hr. Combine warm milk, yeast, and 1 tbsp of the sugar. Let sit for 10min until foamy. In a separate bowl, mix the flour, remaining sugar, and salt. Add the egg, vanilla, and yeast mixture. Mix until a dough forms. Knead in the softened butter. Continue kneading for about 8min until the dough is smooth and slightly tacky. Add in about 2/3 of the chocolate chips. Place dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise for 1 hr. Punch down the dough and divide into 6 equal portions. Flatten each piece and place a frozen nutella dollop in the center. Cover completely. Top with more chocolate chips. Cover and let rise for 20min. Brush with an egg wash.
