I always thoughts it’s just bc of the liaison that you hear the s or you don’t bc of the vowel that follows afterwards. This seems even more confusing. 💀

generally when dropping the ne we also drop the l in plus so it's pronounced je veux pu de sucre for no more. When the l sound is dropped it always means no more, no exceptions
