@stephaniecrassweller: I was so worried, feeling like I needed a seat at their table when the reality is that they didn't have a seat at mine. I always thought something was wrong with me. I always thought that I wasn't enough and that maybe if I changed the way that I dressed or the way that I talked, that I would finally fit in and find my people. The truth is that if you have to change yourself to fit in, those were never your people in the first place. There is a difference between wanting to change because you want to grow and you want to learn and you want to become a better person, versus wanting to change to be accepted by people who don't actually want to accept you.
