I genuinely dont understand this take. "they buffed him till he could compete" Yep, they finally found a balance for his kit so he fits into the game. I don't understand the focus on the number of times they changed the fucking numbers in his kit. They found numbers that work, and his kit is interesting which leads to new playstyles. "people will point to how lw is now as evidence he fits in the game" yes??? he now fits in the game cause they dialed in his numbers. He now fits, fuck whatever his original stats were. I think its totally worth it to try and edit a character so their unique playstyle fits into the game. its fucking fun, play the game and have fun

So like just bcoz a hero works differently to most shouldnt be a reason to rework them. If it stands out and has their own niche, that actually means it's a succesfully created hero😂 those buffs were needed, but it's good now.

widow maker doesn't work in the game. and actual good widow maker is unkillable by the great majority of heroes no matter how much you nerf her the only thing in her kit is her one shot and a map wide basic attack one shot goes against one of the cores of overwatch, the moba one it's not fun to play against a widow maker. not that old roadhog needed to be at specific angles and pre put a trap to kill you at half the range widow can to this day, and they remove that from roadhog, the problem with sombra is how inconsistent she is a lot of people complain about sombra because they prioritise her to much and then lose games then blizzard nerf her and she is useless again with the "good widow" some times I play sombra when the enemy has widow maker (because she is supposed to counter) and a lot of times the widows have kill me before I was able to shot out of invisibility, if you are playing phara not even the best junk can instakill you when you are shooting them in the high limit buy widow maker can kill you in the middle of invisibility because she can "hear your footsteps" (which is a bullishit mechanic I physically can't distinguish between left and right iRL with sound and now I have to do it in a video game to not be at a crazy disadvantage, in casual gamemodes, they should implement visual directional audio as a accessibility option)

people who seriously think Sombra needs to be reworked into a different role don't understand the hero. she needs to stay a DPS, and make her a recon DPS. she is always best with permanent invis and a short duration on hack, but people are so averse to it because they're TRASH at the game. sombra is a disruptor and someone who can support dives or whatever movement from your team onto a hero. she shouldn't be made into a DPS that has to work by herself, like she is now and how they consistently rework her to be

im a relatively new player (only been on for a few months) but I became obsessed with playing lifeweaver really easily. I found him fun and easy to understand. I love the petal, the pull, and the thorns. idk why he needs a rework? genuine question
