so you're telling me if my insurance would approve a glp1 for me it would treat my pre-diabetes, my weight/ lipedema AND my chronic pain?

If these medications are so effective, why are insurance companies denying them? I work in a hospital and my employer and insurance dropped my coverage despite such improved health and 65lbs in weight loss.

Why do glp1’s work so great on some and not others? Like me it works amazing I lost all my weight 219lbs to 115lbs and I have friends who have been on it just as long who have just lost like 20-30 pounds? We do the same thing? 🤷🏻‍♀️

We really need to stop referring to GLP-1s as weight loss and reword them as hormone correction. Weight loss for obese people is always healthy and not just the side effect, it’s one facet of these amazing cardiometabolic medications that help reverse metabolic syndrome.

Could this indicate that Sema is better for some then Tirz for weight loss?

I'm a non-responder for weight loss. The GLP1 helps my blood sugar but that's about it.

I do have intestinal inflammation (I presume are from foods that contain nickel). There’s also some negative side effects like stomach paralysis, I’m not willing to gamble that.

What/who is the stitched account? I’ve looked everywhere, including scrolling through ‘sound’ videos….nothing. He’s a good follow

I personally won’t take it but I’m glad the option is available for those that do. I’m the type to avoid even medication like Acetaminophen unless absolutely necessary. Fever? Sure. Headache? I’ll try a glass of water, dim the lights or look away from the screen. I approach everything with benefit and risk assessment. I’m choosing weight loss with movement and calorie reduction because I’m not sure that the risk of GLP1 is necessary. I worry for the loss of my gallbladder or just long term dependence on this very expensive drug

my doctor wanted me on GLP1s because of pre-diabetes. We discussed options, and I wanted to be proactive. Weight was also a factor, but I was doing ok (struggling but doing it) with weight loss. Insurance denied denied denied. I don't want diabetes. I have finally gotten approved. I lost 15 pounds before I started. Now I'm down another 40. I feel better than ever.

Even before I had any weight loss, I had relief from the chronic fatigue caused by my hashimotos. I don’t want to ever go off because my quality of life improved quickly. Now I have also lost over 80 lbs so the effects of the meds and the weight loss combined has been incredible but even if I hadn’t lost a pound, I would still want to take it based on its other effects

my dr put me on ozempic for my blood sugar as 2000mg daily metformin wasn't working and had bad side effects. I haven't lost really any weight so far (90 days on ozempic) but my morning blood sugar is down to around 100 from 150 so I think it's working

And yet, most insurance won’t cover at all or they only cover if not only are you diagnosed with type 2 diabetes, but you ALSO have additional medical conditions
