@stacifosters: It was 95°F outside when I saw this poor dog struggling to walk on the hot pavement. I couldn’t just drive past and pretend I didn’t see it.. I stopped and tried talking to the owner because I couldn’t stand watching this pup visibly uncomfortable and in pain. I offered to help and explained that the pavement was too hot, but unfortunately he refused to listen. At 95° degrees, pavement in direct sun can reach around 130°+. Dogs can’t tell us when the ground is burning their paws, they depend on us to notice and protect them. A walk can wait, their safety cant. #houston #savedogs #helpdogs #animallover #animaladvocate
