@goatcult.media: On April 28, 2000, Russian diving instructor Yuri Lipski entered Egypt’s Blue Hole in the Red Sea with a camera attached to his gear, planning to document a deep solo dive. But shortly after descending, he lost control and continued sinking far beyond the depth he had intended to reach. His camera recorded the final moments of the dive as he descended to approximately 115 meters (377 feet). At that depth, the extreme pressure and effects of deep diving made it impossible for him to recover, and he died on the seafloor. His footage has since become one of the most well-known diving videos ever recorded and is often used to teach the dangers of deep diving and the importance of proper planning and safety.
