Quick question pls, if it were a long distance relationship and I only happened to find out from her phone when she traveled to my end, after constantly suspecting things were shady from a distance, would the long distance validate it? I mean when I confronted her, she got physically violent because I entered her phone and further told me that she’s a woman and so I should have known she had feelings. Mind you, I traveled to study and no, we are not married. This happened in April, 2025. Fast forward to date and we are still riding together, I’ve come back after completing studies 7 months ago. I am thinking of ending things after her birthday next month because I don’t think I can ever trust her even if she avoids male interactions because I may still feel deceived. However, I feel guilty because I have given her the impression that we have moved past that since last year. Lastly, I wonder how different anybody’s advice would be supposing I did same too whilst there, difference is I would not have become violent if I got caught sneaking around, and justified my behavior. On top of this, she has been expecting a proposal ever since I got back and I just can’t. The foundation of the relationship is shaky. Been dating for 3 years, spent only 8 months of that physically present with her (since 2026 January)

You are correct… I will never forgive him for his actions and decision’s … he thought he could keep it a secret from me and planned on never telling me … he said “well I dint want to hurt you ..” WHATTT???? Sounds a little like cognitive dissonance … I had to play detective and then he tells people “ I broke into his phone ..” No, no, I used the password he gave me and after that he stepped up his deceit by moving to what’s app to cover his texts and then adding additional passwords .. keeping his phone with him 24/7 … but yea, I broke into his phone… He went to ALOT of effort to hide his affair, but I’m supposed to believe he loves me???? 🙄

the “it was a mistake” line is doing SO much work for so little effort lol like a mistake is forgetting someone’s birthday or sending a text to the wrong person, not months of lying, deleting messages, and covering your tracks. if it takes planning, timing, and a cover story it wasnt a slip it was a decision you got caught making.
