That's part of the big reason why a lot of targets started to not carry them anymore or at least carry them up front. was because before they blew up people were stealing them or opening the packaging to destroy them

Well if people wouldn’t take them for free in there bags or try to take them all and not let other kids be able to buy one then yea that’s what’s gonna happen your still able to get them right there it’s just in a box so other kids get a chance to buy them too there’s nothing wrong with being on a lock box

We ran to our Walmart last night for coffee creamer. Because of how late it was we decided to see if we could spot 1. Just 1. Well, we end up running into a scalper who wasn’t happy that they missed the drop. Apparently someone beat him to it and took the entire box. It made me laugh because witnessing a grown man pitch a fit over a toy was incredibly comical.

As a manager in retail I can confirm this is absolutely necessary. I find ripped open empty boxes all over the store. Those and condoms... soooo might wanna pay attention to the kiddos..

Scalpers will steal them bc they have a limit on how many you can purchase in a day. Their resale value is so high the scalpers will shove bags and pockets full. It’s so kids can actually have a chance to get some without having to sit at the shelf waiting on a restock or buying from the scalpers and paying 10x the price
