Definitely need some hydration. Did they supply you with some aftercare to use on your lashes?

Lash artist here! You need to hydrate them. I give an aftercare kit to my clients not sure if you received one but you can use jojoba oil! Also, it looks like you have less lashes because they grow on a cycle, lashes shed and will grow back straight, so some will be lifted others are new growth that didn’t get the lift. Also i recommend a C curl for a natural grow out, and a Korean Lash Lift is a lot healthier & more natural looking grow out!

The lash cycle of each individual lash is 6-8 weeks. From sprout to shed. Each individual lash is in its on cycle. So you have various different cycles going on all at one time throughout your lash line. At five weeks you will have had some lashes that have already shed, and some have not. That’s why some are straight because they are now growing in and have not been touched by the lift you had 5 weeks earlier, and some are curled because they have not shed. They are not damaged, it’s just time for another lift.

They were probably a little over processed. you should keep oil or lash conditioner on them. Tell her to process them for less time to avoid them getting like this.

Hunter Casados :
Lashes are on a 6-8 week growth cycle, if you’re at the 5 week mark you are probably just due for another lash lift. If they would have been over processed it would have been very shortly after you got it, not a month later. Each lash is on its own separate cycle so more than likely you are just having an uneven grow out and they were a little bit over lifted after your lash lift. The more dramatic the lift = the more awkward the grow out. Korean lash lifts are more gentle and will help but these don’t look fried! If you don’t want another lash lift but you want to get rid of the crinkle look, reach out and see if she will relax them for you and make sure you leave with nourishing serum.

hey, so my mom is an aesthetician she used to do them on me but because of how stepping my lashes are, they would sometimes kink up and get really weird especially if I was on my period because of hormones

After your lifts, you need need need to hydrate them or condition them at least twice a day. They do last a long time but as your natural lashes grow out, they don’t look as uniform as they did in the beginning

Yup this is why as a lash artist I will always die on the hill that extensions are better. You’re chemically altering your lashes so they get damaged so quick. Extensions only damage them when applied incorrectly

You are doing a double process tinting & relaxing is a double chemical process. Just like you can’t color and perm your hair the same time, lashes are the same if not more fragile. Wait a few weeks between tinting or lifting but not both at the same time.

it’s normal when you don’t follow up w aftercare- when they grow out it will look strange having some straight/some curled/ and where the curl is on the lash grows out so the curl is not where it was when it was done. but crunchy at this point that part is on no aftercare, get a lash serum babe you’ll be good

Conditioning the lashes is important. But waiting at least 8 weeks between lifts is imperative.

It’s how your new growth grows in. It makes them super crazy. When I stopped doing them I had to buy a kit on Amazon to do a reversal to all my lashes then they finally grew in normal

Yes, it has happened to my clients! It’s just like getting highlights any chemical service you really want to condition the hair afterwards! And your lashes go through recycle so you’re always shedding and growing out new ones.

Agree with everyone else in the comments! An aftercare serum is essential to use daily - it hydrates, gives shine, conditions and gives back nutrients to your lashes!!
