I reallyyyyyyy hate when people claim certain things are system— specifically osddid, i find— exclusive (identifying as a fictional character, using the word source, having ‘alters’ or headmates, etc..) because it puts too much emphasis on alters and not enough emphasis on dissociation. System disorders don’t exist, plural disorders don’t exist, alter disorders don’t exist, osddid (and any other CDD) are, at their core, dissociative disorders; and to claim you can only do those certain things if you’re an osddid based system not only feeds into misinformation, but excludes systems that don’t experience that. It excludes systems who don’t have fictives, it excludes fictives who don’t like/use the term source, and in the end i find it causes more harm than good.

Thank you for the video. I am a system and I don’t understand why other systems are so hateful towards fictkins. While it can be true that some fictionkins copy system behavior (referring to a change in current highest kintype as switching and even signing off as if they were different), it is not something I see often… if someone wanted to fake being a system, it’d be easier for them to just refer to themself as a system instead of doing a whole process of first labeling themself as a fictionkin. A lot of the fictkins I see are really cool people, wish nothing but love and solidarity between both communities 💙

Ty for the informational video I love learning more about me and fictionkins through this, but just for clarification,, when referencing where your kin type came from would you use source or media? I see this debated a lot throughout the system and fictionkin communities and I’ve never seemed to find a clear answer,,, T_T

just so everyone knows. Identity and disorder clashing together just makes you seem stupid. I havent seen any fictionkins mocking systems. It makes you look stupid and uneducated. I will hold your hand when i say this... fictionkins are AN INVOLUNTARY IDENTITY if you picked up a book you would know theres sometimes trauma causes to this. You saying shit like 'fictionkins mock systems' is the issue. You're downplaying peoples coping, trauma and more because you have a disorder which is absolutly not okay.
