Cali lifeguard program is actually extreme. The must conquer the title 22 program at the young age of 16. In two weeks these young people do the similar things that our coast guards must do. Not all but brutal. For good reason! Only a few make it. I’ve had the blessing to have all three children do it, pass , save lives! Since birth they have been in that water but taught. Please listen to your lifeguards. They truly only have your best interest in hand. Prayers for all of them as they usually are 16 to 18 max
