I was just there. The council area and over flow were already full. Had to stay outside. They had 5 hours of testimony scheduled against the proposed data center. The crowd was awesome, engaged, and respectful. Come to find out the city cou council signed NDAs back in January 2025. Last week it was brought to attention of citizens only because there was a leak in the council office. We need to stop these.

data centers can reclaim water. AMAZON does it. Colorado has no data centers because their tax base didn't support them.

I showed up 45 mins early and they were at capacity and that is including their over flow room. There were so many people there were three random lines so long.. the city was unprepared for the amount of members of the community that showed up to speak. I was unable to speak at all because there were so many people waiting.

Right or wrong I feel ashamed being a native of Salem, especially considering it's the Capitol. It's so sad to see what has happened to most cities/towns in the valley. Salem has been eroding at a ridiculous pace.
