@thedaddossier: somehow this whole category feels more complicated than it needs to be. Experienced parents - chime in if I misrepresented anything! #pregnancy #firsttimeparents #babystroller #travelsystem #secondtrimester
Finally decided on Silver Cross Cove 2 with bassinet; Cybex Cloud G Pro; Cybex Calisto G. The price is a bit overwhelming but I feel like it is the best for us. The Cloud G is an infant car seat that reclines. We all know infants are in the car seat a lot and I always hated that they looked so scrunch and can’t move. Which is why I chose this car seat and the bassinet. Also the bassinet folds with the stroller so it takes up less space in the car

We got the cybex cloud g pro and gazelle s stroller. I know it costs a lot, but safety was really important to us and that car seat has one of the best safety ratings

Hi! Soon to be FTM and former NICU nurse. Something to note is that it is not recommended to keep a baby in a car seat for longer than a couple hours at a time. This includes driving to and from the destination. For this reason, I chose not to purchase a car seat that attaches to our stroller. Our baby will be coming out of the car seat and into the bassinet attachment of our stroller or going into a baby carrier every time.

So many people say skip the infant car seat but am I insane thinking that the price of convenience is soooooo worth it? I’m fine to rebuy for a year of simplicity

the hospital requires you to strap your newborn into an infant car seat before you're discharged, at least in canada

Veer Switchback system with Bassinet. we use a Cybex Aton G swivel with adapters but honestly we rarely keep him on the car seat with the stroller. Recently started using the seat rather than the bassinet.

Went with Clek Liing infant baby seat as it has a lifetime warranty during 9 year expiration from manufacture while Nuna is only 7 year expiration and only warranties for the first year. Still deciding on stroller, may go with Cybex E Gazelle S.

I got the Jolie versiti. I travel ALOT and plan to travel with my baby.
the seat it comes with lays almost completely flat, and can transition for toddlers.
and as we are planning to have more children, we can buy an additional seat when the time comes.
its compact enough to be able toa move around an airport and easy enough to take long strolls.
its a little heavy though. Hopefully it works out :)

bassinet is really only needed for the 1st month. Many strollers are good from 1 month and up. Just get a carrier, youll want one anyways, and many are good from birth, dont waste money on things you'll only use for a short time. Also lots of doctors dont recommend going out much the 1st 3 months with baby anyways. And most moms probably aren't going to want to go out much especially in the 1st month. So prioritize what you need to get baby home from hospital.

Full size strollers Come with bassinet and seat fabrics only one that doesn’t have a bassinet is their travel stroller which is now lay flat and infant safe … but don’t forget it’s a travel stroller compact and approved for overhead compartment storage on planes … def recc after your baby is 2-3 yrs old

I originally didn’t want a travel system and wanted to get a convertible but we’re due in February where it’ll be cold still and feel like it’ll be so much easier… leaning toward a stroller that converts into a pramette right now

We just got the cybex gazelle s with the matching cloud g car seat, during nordstroms sale, both came out to about $1200 inc. CA tax, the car seat itself can recline allowing the baby to be safe for an extended period of time. This removes the need for a bassinet unless you’re planning to have you baby in there for more than 2 hours. With our first we had the bassinet attachment and never used it outside of walks from our house. The cybex seat that comes with the stroller can also be used as a second seat down below, so our 3yo can sit there with the baby up top without needing to buy a second seat until the baby grows out of the car seat. Also the gazelle comes with the attachment needed for the top and bottom seat built in. IMO it’s the most complete set up right out of the box! Goodluck!! @cybexusa
