@pulsecanada: A group of international students is urging IRCC to reopen and reconsider their work permit applications. They say their college assured them they were eligible for a BTWP and had contacted IRCC on their behalf. The students argue they came to Canada seeking a better future and never expected to be protesting in the streets for what they believe are their rights and fair treatment. They also describe the difficult conditions of their protest, saying they are sitting outside in extreme heat and struggling to eat and drink properly. I’m so confused….re-consider what?? A student visa is just that. For students. When you graduate, you’re not a student anymore- meaning no visa. It’s so simple😭

Temporary means when studies are done you leave. Very simple

Jobs are scarce for Canadian students as it is. Canada honoured the temporary work permits and are not required to provide anything more. Be grateful for what you have been given
