i was addicted to blus for 10 years i went to ask for help they put me on 100mg methadone i’m on day 4 cold turkey i left the clinic, every week they tried to up the methadone another 10mg. i agree with what your saying it replaces one thing with another. love your content!

bro I was clean for 6 years 5 I was on suboxone and was the best 5 years i can remember. the last year I ended up relapsing. so it's again upto the person man. I hate people who think like u.

Firstly your podcast has helped me so much Kevin just hearing people’s stories helps me not feel so alone. My psychiatrist has helped me end my addition to alcohol and all substances except Suboxone and Kava with Wellbutrin and Mirtazapine. I know I’m not truly “sober” yet but I’m in much better shape than I was before. Maybe one day once I’m past the hardships I’m currently experiencing I’ll have the strength to keep pushing towards the light of sober spiritual growth but right now it’s just too dark and I’m in survival mode. I agree with you though.

I know someone who has been on suboxone for 7 or 8 years still using and selling her suboxone but keeping enough to pass her drug test every month. It’s ridiculous. She’s been kicked out of several clinics or drs whoever she gets them from. I’ve never used but my personal opinion is from what I hear is your swapping one drug for another especially when you’re not trying to come off them.

As someone who works in mental health and addictions. I find that when it is used long-term, sometimes people become dependent on it and then relapse. It is a good way to help with withdrawals and then taper off. Many people I work with are so excited to be off it and dont always say they are sober when on it.

Im on 4mg sub daily. Been for the past 3 years. I feel like the doctor wont honestly tell me whats gonna happen if I drop down to 2mg and then nothing. I hate this stuff. Its like a different chain.

not everyone needs that kind of intense work on themselves. being sober to me is being able to fully function. to b able to b productive snd fully enjoy uour life. im on methadone. whether thats 2 yrs or redt of my life dont matter except on methadone I no i aint gonna relapse. I can do all tjings on methadone as I csn without it soo."sober" is just a label.

I never robbed anybody or OD’d on subs and built a beautiful life so u sound like a 12 step culter! Sober 11yrs total 7 off everything including subs
