Ever since i cut my hair, ive noticed a DRASTIC change in how many men compliment me. I get a lot more compliments from women though!! And the men who do compliment me are usually older/more mature/secure

I was at a beach Bachata event in Miami and a guy came up to me and asked why my hair was short. When I said it’s cause I like it and it’s easier he grabbed a handful of my hair, pulled from behind, and said “we like something to hold onto.” Not one single male friend did or said anything. I stopped talking to those male friends after that.

Years ago, my ex called me a dyke when I cut my hair and I was so quick to grow it out. This year I cut my hair short with my current boyfriend watching me on FaceTime, cheering me on. He’s always sending me new styles and admires my short hair.

Long hair is just a feminine feature. Not to say that girls with short hair aren’t feminine, but it’s a feminine feature so i get why it attracts men. And we don’t live to attract men so why be bothered? But still i get it.
