do I believe that megalodon still exist...no but questioning what science currently believes to be true or absolute is part of the scientific process and is one of the reasons we have the current periodic table because someone in history questioned that it wasn't complete

Agreed. But I find it amazing that we continue to learn about such an amazing animal, and yet at the same time feel somber at the fact that animals of its mythic caliber are extinct or are extremely rare in the modern world.
