A Nevada woman is facing felony charges after police say a dispute inside a Las Vegas Walmart escalated into a deadly shooting when she allegedly called her husband and told him to bring a gun. According to investigators, 30-year-old Raqiya Ward became involved in an argument with a man identified as Kwame Swain outside a Walmart on Boulder Highway on July 21. Police say the confrontation began after Ward exchanged words with Swain and his girlfriend, eventually turning physical as punches and rocks were allegedly thrown. Authorities claim Ward then contacted her husband, Travis Ward, asking him to come to the store armed. Witnesses told investigators she instructed him to “bring a gun” and later identified Swain by telling her husband he was “inside” and not wearing a shirt. Police allege Travis Ward entered the store carrying a handgun and opened fire on Swain, striking him. Investigators say he attempted to fire additional shots, but the weapon malfunctioned. As officers arrived, they reportedly heard gunfire from inside the store. Police say Travis Ward exited the building still holding the firearm, prompting an officer to shoot him. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Swain was found inside the Walmart with a gunshot wound and was transported to a hospital in critical condition. Customers described the incident as terrifying, saying they never expected gunfire to erupt inside their neighborhood Walmart as shoppers and employees rushed for safety. Prosecutors argue the violence stemmed from the initial altercation, alleging that Raqiya Ward and another woman, Ameea Blue, escalated the conflict by summoning an armed individual to the scene. Raqiya Ward has been charged with battery with a deadly weapon, conspiracy to commit battery, and reckless disregard for the safety of others. She is being held without bail. Blue is being held on a $25,000 bond, and both are scheduled to return to court this week.#fyp #viral - @sacramentourbanmedia916
