Maineland gave me my childhood after my mother got me and my sisters out of the same house as our abusive father. Maineland gave us hope. One year we went 9 times during the summer. Its heartbreaking the park went down rather than being able to expand its enclosures and meet animal welfare laws. I wish they had a different outcome. Kind of wish I was born into money because I'm a huge animal lover and wouldn't have hesitated to buy the park and make huge improvements so many more children would experience the same hope my sisters and I did as children.
