I'm proud to be part of the generation that moved the needle, and how much progress has been made in a relatively short amount of time

most our Boomer Dads who lacked emotional support and worked all the time messed us up, so us Millennials realize how important it is to be present with our kids and have understanding and vulnerability with our kids while maintaining discipline without physical abuse.

I work a massive amount of time every single week I’ve deployed multiple times and I still spend more time with my daughters than the older generation ever did with their kids

I'm a GenX dad with young kids and spend a ton of time with my kids as I've learned from the mistakes of my boomer parents being raised in the 70s thru 90s

When our oldest started elementary school I told my manager I was going full time remote, either with that company or another. Being home every day when my kids get off the bus is huge. But we dads still have work to do, parenting should be 50\50 for every household and so many Dads are still seen as the second string parent

can we stop comparing to the '50s and '60s?, comparing to the '90s and early 2000s would be better

also woman’s earning power has increased by 200% so that’s allowed for stay at home dads

Modern dads are out parenting other DADS. Women are finally starting to get the help our mothers and beyond needed. Our generation of men are those want to be dads and husbands, not just have a missus and some kids

When I see the excuse “He did his best” no he didn’t, he did what he knew and was too scared to go outside of his comfort zone. My dad wasn’t taught to show affection to his sons sometimes but he learned it was important. Nobody showed up for his school or athletic events, but he was at all of ours. The older generations had kids strictly to reproduce and carry a legacy, never gave a thought to parenting.
