I thought the prosecutors theory was offensive. According to her, Martha Stewart and every other type A mother is capable of killing their kids if perfection isn’t attained. It’s literally the weaponization of being a powerful woman with kids.

This ADA rubs me the wrong way. 3.5 years and the best explanation she could come up with is she didn’t want to go back to work and she didn’t have a nanny anymore so she decided to get rid of her children? And then alluding to thinking she faked her S attempt?

After watching court yesterday, I feel like the prosecution was actually kind of proving the theory of the defense.

The prosecutor also said “she wanted to take the easy way out” but Lindsay completely destroyed her life and is in a living hell so I just didn’t buy it

Them showing several pictures of days out with them as a family to suggest she was not mentally ill was so strange. Mentally ill people mask their feelings

If she just didn’t want to be a mom anymore, she could have walked away. It would have been awful but people do it all the time. I don’t buy the prosecution theory.

That prosecutors opening statement was awful. Mentally ill people, especially smart ones, are very good at masking & playing along. That woman was deeply unwell and fighting for her life

If she couldn't bear people not thinking she had "perfect life", why was she admitting her intrusive thoughts? Why was she voluntarily admitting herself? She wasn't trying to keep up appearances. She was doing the opposite. She was fighting to get help. The prosecution argument makes no sense and proves the defense's point.

I can't understand why the husbands in these kind of situations aren't prosecuted as well.

She deserves good representation. What had happened to her is disgraceful… this woman is mentally disturbed and needs sympathy

Who wouldn’t continue to seek out doctors if they’re weren’t getting the help they needed? And who wouldn’t want a quick fix?

the way rhe prosecution is painting her as a master manipulator with a psychiatric drug habit is really really gross.

the family is culpable. like it or not they are. if you have children and have a sitter and you knew your sitter had the issues that Lindsay had. the mental health challenges, the prescriptions, the thoughts about the kids etc, would you leave your children with them? NO. you would never do that. they chose to leave her alone with them knowing they would be at risk.

I found the question about the organizing the garage very odd i guess it was about the "control theory" they're going for.

I have been waiting for this all day 😅 I was glued to the court tv live stream. Why aren’t they having court tomorrow? Do you think it’s because it’s too much for Lindsay?

We’ve become obsessed with having more. More money. More food. A bigger house. A better car. More success. And somewhere along the way, we stopped asking Allah to put barakah in what we already have. Because there are people earning twice as much as you who still can’t make it to the end of the month. People with beautiful homes that have no peace inside them. People surrounded by hundreds of people who still feel completely alone. And people who have everything they once wanted but somehow still don’t feel content. Then there’s someone with very little... But somehow it’s enough. Their home has peace. Their children love them. Their health is good. Their income covers their needs. They sleep peacefully at night. And their heart is content. That is wealth too. We just stopped recognising it. I genuinely think some of the greatest blessings Allah gives us are the ones that don’t look impressive enough to post online. A normal day. No phone call with bad news. Food on the table. Your parents still alive. Your children healthy. Enough money to pay your bills. Peace inside your home. These things become so repetitive that eventually we start calling them “normal.” Until one of them disappears. And suddenly you’d give anything to have that normal day back. Don’t only ask Allah for more. Ask Him to place barakah in what He has already given you. Because sometimes having more isn’t the blessing. Sometimes the blessing is needing less and finding that what Allah gave you was enough all along. Alhamdulillah for the obvious blessings. And Alhamdulillah for the quiet ones we haven’t learnt to notice yet.
