People trying to justify him are killing me ☠️They'd rather defend literal war criminal and man with shity morals than woman trying to avenge THEIR firstborn. She had every right to be mad and kill him. I can't comprehend how they turn Clytemnestra into villain, when it's Agamemnon's shitty actions angered Arthemis and caused sacrifice of Iphigenia. And "he had to otherwise they'd rise up against him". Who exactly? Kings and soldiers who he literally forced into that war? ☠️

If I remember right, whole “he also killed her husband and first baby” thing is basically ancient fan-fiction. In the oldest stories their marriage was consensual and she really thought he loved her. Which imho makes it worse. It’s one thing to know you’re in the clutches of a monster. At least you’d see this kind of thing coming. But she spent like 20 years with this man and then he murders their daughter to give his ships a godly power boost.

The fact they didn't even add the lotus eaters at all. Calypso was also glorified instead of being perceived by her character in book because she was crazy over him in the book. She didn't want to let him go plus he had his memories with her and would cry for Penelope and Telemachus.

Before anyone (men) start screaming at me, there is a book called Clytemnestra by by Constanza Casati and it is about the story of Clytemnestra. Other than watching the Odyssey and doing a little bit of research, my knowledge of her CHARACTER comes mostly from this book. Now whether these things actually happened or not is up for debate considering this is MYTHOLOGY, but my opinion is still valid based on my understanding of the character. Whether that be a fictional character from a book, or a character from an ancient myth.
