funfact the calico gene in cates need them to have 2 x chromosomes (females have xx chromosomes wile male have xy chromosomes) male calicos are rair because they need attlest a pair of xx chromosomes and a y chromosomes wich is 3 in todal compared to the usual 2 so male calico are technically intersex no matter what even if they have male genitalia
