A lot of these really young women are just afraid to be financially independent. They want to be taken care of bc adulthood is scary. Getting a job is scary. Trying to start school can be scary. But being in a relationship with a man feels familiar and easy.

I was a SAHM that was too poor to leave. No car no family support no education. I wanted to work but had 3 kids very young and childcare was prohibitively expensive. I don’t see this talked about ever. Poverty is a real reason these young women get trapped

I see they never consider the death of their spouse and finance safety. Job opportunities are lower bc less listed on resume/ time commitments to childcare v someone applying w open availability. It’s giving financial immaturity imo like when ppl say idc about politics.
