I deleted the video because I realized the wording was insensitive. My intention wasn't to erase Aventurine's Romani/Sigonian coding or reduce his identity to "a white man." The joke was meant to be about how the fandom reacted back then, not about his ethnicity or identity. I understand why people were upset, and that's on me. I'll be more careful with my wording in the future. Sorry to everyone I offended :(

I’m so confused so do you think she was being racist or not.. because like firstly racism isn’t “an American history thing” especially given that the concept of “race” in humans was made up by a Swedish man. Not being able to apply concepts of real world racism into HSR bc it’s set in space would be compelling if it weren’t for characters being directly coded as poc/ having backstories that reflect irl racism.

Okay but like we have to remember this is a game and a fantasy race, they’re aren’t promoting actual racism against any real group of people. And why are people so focused on this one liner like they aren’t murderers and such in this game like if you wanna hold these fantasy characters to actual real world laws and societal standards you gotta take in account all the things WE would consider worse instead of rude sterotypical remark.
