@livinglarsonhome: I mean, you could rip down a full, heavy 4x8 sheet of plywood on a table saw all by yourself, but with this jig you don’t have to. As a woman who is 5’4”, this jig is awesome!! Set up was a little more involved than I expected for this jig, so I wanted to share this tutorial on how to set it up. And yes, I know table saws can do more than just rip material, but ripping material is all I would need a table saw for, so this jig that attaches to any circular saw gets the job done really well. Do you have any other questions about this jig? And no, this is NOT an ad. I have worked with Kreg in the past, but this video is NOT a partnership post. Just thought I would clear that up. #womenwhodiy #learntodiy #diytutorial

Circular saw with a good straight edge like that is a great budget friendly alternative to a track saw 👍

I’ve been a carpenter for the last 45 seconds and this generation has gone so soft. I use the good ole butter knife like my ancestors did back in 2025.

it doesn't work (fit) the smaller saws (which many of us new to diy might have)

Trying to do home improvement as a leftie is so dangerous. I got excited thinking this might be safer for me than the table saw until you explained why it would not 😂

Who is running a full sheet of plywood through their table saw? That’s not what they’re for, anyway 🤦🏻‍♂️

I gotta admit this does look easier to handle than running a 4x8 through a table saw

How do you do smaller cuts. Like 2” for a trim plate on a shelf

Milescraft track saw guide, now we can argue at the price point if you don’t already have a circular saw you’re getting close to track saw price. But it’s worth it I have it for my compact ryobi HP 6.5 & pair that with a diablo blade & you’re getting close to track saw quality. Now you can’t do bevels but most DIYers are doing basic pocket screws and 90 degree cuts. If you dive further into woodworking realm track saw is best to go.

Never understood why the blade for the right handed saw isn’t on the left side, so I don’t have to look over top of my saw to see my cut

My experience is that this works worse than clamping a straight edge to whatever you’re trying to cut unfortunately. I def don’t use my table saw for breaking down sheet goods but I don’t know how I’d get by without a table saw at this point.

I’m lucky..At work we have a panel saw. So I take all my projects and cut them there.

Fantastic video but I will say you did a great job of convincing me to just stick with clamping a straight edge. This was way too many steps. My ADHD would move on to a different project. 😂

But remember: with this method, your cut will only be as straight as the edge the guide is riding along

Table saws are the best. My entire woodworking shop is centered around my table saw. However, this is a great budget friendly option to get the job done. 👍🏻
