As someone who’s been in this exact situation. It doesn’t get easier it actually gets harder but please let go now, cut all contact, stop letting him into your life, stop seeing him and texting him. It’s like an addiction, you’re gonna go through the really bad withdrawals but once you’re sober it’s the best feeling ever and you love yourself so much more

It’s an addiction. You’re addicted to the attention and you’re addicted to the pain that comes from the lack of it. You need to go cold turkey with the assistance of a mental health professional. Cut them off. Book a therapy appointment. Pack your schedule. You can do it.

i was in an on and off relationship/situationship as well for 3 years and an advice i wish i had taken seriously was to leave. i wish i had left the moment things got toxic, i wasted 3 years of my life on a terrible person and it wasn’t worth it in the end. i was blinded by naiveness and love. just leave that cycle and realize they are not the one, if they were.. wouldn’t the relationship be consistent instead of it being on and off? you deserve better, you deserve someone who can always be there even during hard times. do not make the same mistakes i did because its something that took a toll on me but thankfully leaving that relationship led me to an amazing healthy relationship with someone who actually loves me and respects me. please leave that cycle, you will be okay.
