@mitchthetaxman: 🚨 Death Tax? Here’s what you actually need to know… Today’s headlines are full of rumours about a new 10% “death tax.” Let’s be clear: nothing has been announced and nothing has become law. But don’t make the mistake of ignoring it. Over the last few years we’ve already seen Governments chip away at valuable tax reliefs: 📉 Business Property Relief has been restricted. 📉 Agricultural Property Relief has been restricted. 📉 From April 2027, many pension funds are expected to fall into the Inheritance Tax net. Whether today’s rumour becomes reality or not, the direction of travel is clear… Tax planning is becoming more important than ever. Remember, inheritance tax is a tax on what you leave behind. The best planning often happens years before someone dies through sensible gifting, business restructuring, trusts and making use of the reliefs that still exist today. But it’s rarely just about Inheritance Tax. A gift today could create a Capital Gains Tax bill. A property transfer could trigger Stamp Duty. A business restructure could preserve—or lose—valuable tax reliefs. That’s why you need to look at the whole picture. 📅 The people who save the most tax aren’t the ones who react after the Budget. They’re the ones who planned before the rules changed. 👇 What’s your view? Should the Government introduce a new “death tax” to fund social care? #InheritanceTax #DeathTax #EstatePlanning #TaxPlanning #BusinessOwners
Why don’t those who get over £1 million in free inheritance pay 75% tax and pay for all the council tax that way we all get free money when someone dies not just the lucky family member
