This but it was my uncle. He’d take my brothers out all the time but never me. He’d drop them off with McDonald’s (I was a kid so it felt like I was being disowned) and get nothing for me even if my mum offered to pay. The last conversation me and him ever had was him saying “don’t worry I’ll take you next time”. Never saw him again and I could never be happier.

my dad was like this 100% and now my parents are divorced and now he tries to invite me over to his apartment or to go out to eat and I tell him I can't (I try sometimes but it's too awkward plus, he talks about my mom a lot and not anything good). He tells everyone that it's my moms fault that I don't want to spend time with him like, my mom has nothing to do with that. dad bullied me and threatened me to get a car he wanted from where he wanted after i got in a car wreck. it was about 8k more than the suv i wanted from marketplace. he and my mom told me that since they are making me get this car, that they would pay for everything it needs besides the insurance and gas. a few months later, my car breaks down and has to be towed and my dad was the one who absolutely REFUSED to let another man try to fix the car (my wife's step dad offered to look into it since he works as a mechanic and max i would have owed him $100 IF he even let me pay him at all), so it was taken to a shop. parents reassured me that they'd pay for everything like they already said they would...by the time it's out, i have 3k missing from my credit card and my parents tried gaslighting me (and still to this day) that of course i had to pay for it, it's my car and they never ONCE said that they would pay for anything dealing with that car

My dad wasn’t this extreme but I did ask him one time to teach me how to change a tire, and he said, “lol no you’ll never need to know that.” A week later I blew a tire while he was out of town so my brother’s best friend came and rescued me. I’ve also been asking for YEARS if I can try golf with them one time to see if I like it, and they’ve gone almost every weekend for the past three summers and not a single text or invite. I’m done trying to bond with men they do not care about nor like women.
