But if they are getting cavities on their front teeth, which usually tells you that a high sugar liquid content has been sitting on them. But they don’t have bottles only breastmilk. It tells me differently, I have personally seen cases with co slept breastfed babies have cavities on their front teeth.

When I went to my son's first dental check up at 6 months old the dentist told me to stop breastfeeding at night. Thankfully I knew better than to listen to this but what if they said that to someone with PPD or PPA, that would stress the hell out of them. I'm soon going to his 1 year check up and if I get told this again, I'm actually going to show them this video because it makes me so angry that they spread misinformation.

I had a MALE dentist tell me to stop breastfeeding my 1 year daughter due to causing cavities. I had to respectfully remind him of the powers of breastmilk, and that I would not be falling for that type of fear without evidence.

Had both male doctor and male dentist rep one this and I just ignored them. Been breastfeeding all night and day for two years so far and no cavities on my girl!

Yup, my daughters pediatrician said to stop breastfeeding at night bc my daughter will get cavities. And if i do breastfeed at night to follow up with brushing her teeth! 🤯 sounded pretty damn ridiculous!!!!

I just wanted to say. After difficulty with breastfeeding with my last child, and having to switch to formula. I watched all your videos on breastfeeding, I learnt more than I ever did through my local health visiting team. I Just weighed my exclusively breastfed newborn baby and he is gaining weight and meeting his milestones. Thank you.

Thank you!! So many dentists are saying it causes cavities and to stop breastfeeding at night once teeth come in. Like are you kidding me? So ridiculous! My baby got teeth the day he turned 4 months!

We have a dentist in our area that was handing out pamphlets during Halloween that said to stop breastfeeding at 12 months. Immediate no from us and found a dentist who supports breast feeding!

OMG THANK YOU!! As a former dental nurse it actually shits me how dentist don’t educate parents on not sharing utensils etc we pass on strep mutants and the lack of education of BF overnight!

Omg I’m so glad you posted this video. Our family dentist (also family friend) has been nagging me to stop breastfeeding my 15-month-old and that I would be responsible for all the baby’s cavities. She would even add comments like “and you know there isn’t much nutritional value now that he’s 1”. 😡

I’m so exhausted of the bad advice from every person I know that’s had a baby as soon as they find out I have a six month old son. They tell me I need to sleep train, they tell me I shouldn’t feed him back to sleep at night they tell me he will have cavities if I feed him back to sleep at night, on and on 😒 so annoying
