My mum had me and my sisters at 16/18/21, we come from a conservative culture where it would have been frowned upon for her to abort. And as much as I love life, growing up knowing you are a burden takes a hit on your self-esteem, coupled by the fact I know my mother would have gone on to do amazing things had she had aborted it

An aborted foetus will feel much less suffering being terminated before it reaches any level of consciousness, than to be born to parents who cannot look after or, or may be in poverty, have a mental illness, every study possible says adverse childhood experiences have bad outcomes. Children need love and care and stability, there needs to be a plan for after it’s born

Leute die pro life sind, kümmern sich kein bisschen um die Kinder. Die potentiellen schlimmen Konsequenzen für die Kinder sind ihnen komplett egal. Sie kümmern sich nur darum, moralisch überlegen zu sein. (Was in meinen Augen ein totaler Widerspruch ist)

I feel like it really doesn't matter what kind of argument you try to give people who claim to be pro-life honestly is a waste of time. you're never going to change their opinions or their minds unless they do that themselves or unless they experience it like the men who were fully against abortion until it affected their wives

I was an unwanted baby and my mom held it over me all the time that I should just be grateful she didn’t abort me. She went on to abuse and neglect me and now in my 30’s we’re no contact. It’s a horrible way to grow up and no child deserves that. It absolutely makes me even more pro choice.

they don't see the bigger picture. almost every violent criminal will refer to their horrible child hoods as a reason to why they ended up as monsters. I just watched an interview with an inmate who murdered 2 people because they simply said no to him. abortion bans will be followed by crime booms 20 years later.

Exactly!! This world is scary and very unpredictable. You cannot guarantee the safety of the child. You ensure that you’ll actually be a good parent. I don’t understand why they even argue that the fetus is a person but they don’t recognise the circumstances. Why would someone want to be born in such horrible conditions??
