I use a buffalo shirt 90% of the time during the winter months.

Fun fact, the guy that created nikwax is the same guy that created Paramo clothing (Nick Brown). I remember learning this while we were trying out different kits for MRT consideration

had a pair of paramo trousers on loan for test last winter - walked in to go winter climbing in the rain before the snowline - then as soon as I sat down on a belay the water came straight through. it works - until you exert any external pressure on the garment. it's also warm so it's easy to overheat and impossible to remove a layer to cool down. and heavy is an understatement lol.

Have jacket and cascade trousers- amazing for autumn/winter in Lakes or Scotland… very comfortable all day . Agree wouldn’t wear spring or summer anywhere !
