@beachlifemumma: School Jax versus holiday Jax Just watch the way his energy shifts. Jax has to have his hair tied up for school because that’s the rule, then the second he’s free it comes straight back down again. People always tell him he has amazing hair, but to him it’s never really been about that. His long hair is just part of who he is. He feels the most like himself when it’s down and free, and I love that he’s grown up with the confidence to wear it exactly how he wants. Ever since he was born with a full head of beautiful blonde hair, it’s just suited him. Now he’s on a mission to grow it as long as he possibly can. In fact, he’s already talking about growing it long enough to break a world record one day. Knowing Jax, I wouldn’t be surprised if he actually did it. One thing I worried about when he first decided to grow it was whether other children would be unkind. But the opposite has happened. He hasn’t been bullied for having long hair. Instead, he’s found a whole group of boys at school who also have long hair, and I absolutely love that for him. I think every child deserves to feel comfortable being themselves. Whether that’s long hair, short hair, or anything in between, confidence always looks the best.
