the amount of people saying “isha cured jinx’s hallucinations” genuinely worries me because thats not what the show says, jinxs mental state changes because her circumstances change, she finds connection, purpose, and a reason to keep going. her hallucinations also dont just vanish forever, we still see that shes struggling. reducing her entire arc to “isha fixed her” strips away all the nuance arcane spent two seasons building. healing isnt linear, and the show never presents isha as a magical cure for jinx’s mental illness

If you think about it, she wouldn't have been able to see how they died originally because she was outside when the explosion hit. Her hallucinations having those injuries means she went back and saw their bodies at some point and that's kinda heartbreaking.

as someone who started experiencing hallucinations a couple years ago, jinx makes me feel so seen. it's not a matter of thinking that they can DO anything to you, but more what they represent. guilt, fear, stress, my hallucinations get worse when I'm stressed about something, figures looming in the corners of my vision and the feeling of something watching me even when I'm alone. disembodied voices calling my name and screaming incoherently. it gets overwhelming and confusing so easily. her crash-outs are so realistic, it really struck a chord with me. though, a lot of the time, I'm more scared of the fact that I'm hallucinating consistently at all. I wish they didn't dial down her mental issues in season 2, it was hardly present at all...

As someone who is diagnosed with chronic psychosis, and experiences auditory hallucinations (some that are in the form of voices when my symptoms worsen), her hallucinations felt very accurate in how messy they were. I absolutely loved Jinx’s writing
