@eltonjohn: This month marks 50 years since Don’t Go Breaking My Heart went no.1 in the UK. This track is one of the few times I ever sat down and tried to write a hit single. I was on holiday in Barbados in 1975 with a big group of friends including Kiki Dee and @Bernie Taupin and felt Kiki and I had to do a track together. The way it has evolved over the years has brought so much joy. From Kiki, to RuPa, to Miss Piggy and the Spice Girls, the spirit of the song remains wildly fun-loving. Here’s to many more years of ‘Don’t Go Breaking My Heart’ 💔 #misspiggy #themuppets
