I made the decision last year to take matters back to the family court without giving the ex as much as a sniff of my intentions. I was seeking a variation to a very controlling order that had been in place for 3 years and thankfully I was granted every change I’d requested much to the annoyance of the ex as it took away all the control he had. The ex will still clutch at straws trying to regain control, but was told by the court if he put an application in to vary the order back they would put a barring order in place. He was also told to stop living in the past and start focusing on what’s best for the child

It was control over me and then my daughter ( not his ) his been convicted for stalking her and then doing the same things to our son so Iv had to get a court under writing for a year so myself and my son can have a year of peace x

It’s a shame solicitor fees for family court are so high. Just locks so many children out of more structured and protected lives because of their parents income

How old does a child have to be to refuse contact with a parent? I’m dealing with a narcissist ex wife who is constantly saying how bad I am around the children. Although my ex still lives in my house I pay the mortgage on. She’s always the victim but imagine if tables were turned, would she pay mortgage?

It’s just a constant battle. As I have a court order & our boys hate going to spend time with their dad. Can I ask @The Legal Queen at what age does the childcare court order becomes void & they don’t have to go if they don’t want to?!
