@keepingupwith_mjay: Tsenku Waterfalls, tucked away in Dodowa in the Shai Osudoku District of the Greater Accra Region, is the only natural waterfall in the region. Long before it became a destination for hikers and nature lovers, the falls were known to the indigenous Shai people and are deeply connected to their history and traditions. The area is regarded as sacred by many locals and is associated with the Tsenku deity, making it more than just a beautiful place to visit , It’s a site of cultural and spiritual significance. Having visited Tsenku four times, I realized I’d only experienced half of its story. Three of those visits ended at the lower falls, but next time I’m making the journey to both the lower and upper falls. Sometimes, the best way to appreciate a place isn’t just by admiring its beauty, but by understanding its history and experiencing every part of it. @hike with Mawuko
