@kathlynmary_: Not gonna lie, I teared up a bit writing this post, but I’m so happy to say that I finally feel like I’m living my life fully, loudly, and out loud. I wish I had always felt this way, but if I’m being honest, I struggled heavily with this growing up because I always wanted to be the “cool girl.” I’m not sure where I got that mindset from back then, but to me, the “cool girl” couldn’t be silly, weird, or even a little crazy. I was far too focused on caring what other people thought of me. But in reality nobody really cares. For years, I was too embarrassed to show that side of myself—even though that’s who showed up when I was with the people who knew me best. Luckily, over the years, I realized that side of me is what actually makes me me, and it’s what makes me happy.
