I was the one who chose silence. I left him on read and stepped back.
Two weeks later, I'm okay. That space gave me time to reflect, heal, and, most importantly, remember the respect and value I owe myself.
Looking back, I don't think he was really at fault. We were simply two adults wanting different things, and that's okay. Not every connection is meant to become a relationship.
So instead of holding on to resentment, I choose gratitude. Thank you for the experience, and I genuinely wish him well.
To my fellow girls, it's all about perspective. If your values and goals don't align, don't become bitter. Give yourself the gift of time. Reflect, enjoy your own life, and let your emotions settle. You'll begin to see more clearly where you truly belong.
Love yourself enough to walk away from what's not meant for you—not because you lost, but because you know your worth.
Sometimes, the greatest act of self-love is choosing peace over chasing something that was never meant to fit.
