Your vocal skills are impressive but all the embellishments distract from the actual story you are singing. The reason donal Finn’s version hits so hard is it sounds like he truly feels what his character is feeling. Too much embellishment and fluff takes away from that

The style of the first is better…the comfort and technicality of the second is much improved. You’re more comfortable in the range and the spaces for this song which opens all sorts of options but I kinda feel like ya over did it. Don’t get it twisted you sound amazing - I’m just saying not all options need to happen (before anyone comes at me, I’d be hard pressed to do what he did which I why I can appreciate it)
