people say misandry isn't harmful but it's what stopped me from transitioning (I'm ftm) for so long because I didn't want to automatically be seen as a terrible person no matter what I do because of my gender, I feel like no amount of kindness can ever overcome that pre-existing negative assumption that comes with being perceived as a man

As a man with OCD, I struggle to move past the guilt and shame I feel for existing as the worst gender, that perpetuates misogyny by my very existence. And tbh, I feel like “misandry” isn’t real, it’s a reaction to that harm we cause just by living as men. In a way I think I deserve to feel this way

the more you demonize the whole, the more you push them to say "fine then I will be the problem". they shouldn't, and it's terrible, but that's what can and does happen. there comes a fatigue.

i mean sure, but when women werent "misandrist" it didnt stop mens violence💀 for thousands of years our complicity or more so lack of fighting back in any way didnt actually lead us to much. if anything, it gives women community with each other in a way. not saying misandry is bad or anything but this take doesnt really consider the rest of our history. maybe there should be studies on this
