Animation Explanation: The animation is about hibernation. I was always under the impression that it meant that bears would sleep throughout the entirety of winter in a comatose state. At least that’s what I was taught through children's books, other media, and from people in general. But, I think it was around my senior year in high school that I saw a random ah-video explaining how it was a little more nuanced than that. So they do still hunt for food on occasion and move if necessary. They eat a ton during the fall and if they didn’t eat enough, then they end up having to go out during winter which shows at the end of the animation with the news reporter talking about the hiker getting mauled to death.
