September is awesome because summer holiday crowd is over and it's before the autumn tourist crowd rushes in, which means you get cheaper hotels. But you do have to like warm weather. Plus rice fields are awesome in sept

We went February and most establishments are either close early or open late during winter. I prefer autumn season October to December, not hot not cold and establishments are open on regular hours.
