My understanding was we are the centre of our own universe each and everyone of us are only responsible for our own thoughts and feelings and actions etc… and each universe can collaborate and collect with others in a co-operative community of realities intermingling and the mirror is the aspects that show us what we are, how to heal and grow to better experience life and bring back to the community / world. I thought mirroring SHOWS is what is and THEN we can alchemize based on seeing the truth of what is and moving towards what we wish to create.

maybe this is just for the hook but you’re not describing the mirror concept in the way it’s normally used. the idea of the mirror is that rather than waiting for the world to show you something, be the person you want to be to see that change mirrored. it’s quite literally about alchemising what you’re shown to reflect something that you prefer.

never interpreted "the mirror" this way. It was always about how no one can make us feel anything, how it always comes back to our reaction to the thing and not the thing itself. perception of life mirrors perception of self.

I don’t think we have the spiritual concept for the mirror. As within so without has a lot to do with if you don’t like what’s going on outside, there’s something to change inside. It is about change. Seeing others as a mirror is also a way of healing, for they are showing you parts of yourself that you are not looking at, that you are then able to heal and transmute. So I don’t think it is about mimicking anything, it is about viewing the information. The world is giving you about yourself.

Just my 2 cents, maybe more, but I don't know if it gets any more egotistical and narcissistic than to claim everyone else is nothing more than a reflection of one's self. It seems only possible if someone is living on the surface, refusing to look within, and those parts that are being ignored, shunned, abandoned, etc work their way to the surface of another, at least as far as the one on the surface, looking at the surface, sees it. Also, if everyone else is a reflection of one, is one just a culmination of everyone else's reflection? That goes along with what you were saying about changing things on the surface but everything inside stays the same. Then there's the alchemy that can happen to those who go within, or the self aware. Instead of just matching energies, we can mingle with them, add our own, and express a combination of the two, or multiple if you're tapped in to more. Anyway, I think it's an important topic to be discussed if the species is to ever grow up. Thank you.

I would argue that the mirror is the alchemy if the goal is to look within and align with our intuition, our authenticity, and the consciousness that we hold within - ie listening to our body and ancestors. Most people don’t want to look within because it is too uncomfortable and struggle with it because of external projections that we cling to instead of listening to ourselves. This is especially important in things like deconstructing religion, self abandonment, and oppression inflicted onto us. The mirror is just different in how we would use it as a tool not a tool to throw away altogether. 🪞🪩✨

I'm not a proponent of "the mirror," but I didn't think that's what was meant. I took it as, if you're seeing something in someone, then it is also within you. You're seeing a reflection of yourself, that you need to work on and therefore alchemize. The mirror you're talking about is just being a people pleaser.

Alchemy is nice metaphor. I think when people say mirror I think the real word they look for is feedback. The world gives you feedback. And seeing your choices and actions clearly creates different choices than not
