If it’s Friday and Monday is already stealing your peace… I KNOW that feeling. 😭👇🏼 Because there was a time my weekends didn’t even feel like weekends. I was a banker Monday through Friday, then throwing on a waitress uniform nights and weekends because one paycheck wasn’t enough. There were days I’d leave the bank and go straight to the restaurant. I missed dinners. I missed evenings. I missed time with my babies that I knew I could never get back. I missed ball games too. And Sunday wasn’t restful because in the back of my mind I already knew what Monday meant. Alarm. Work. Rush. Repeat. I wasn’t lazy. I wasn’t afraid of hard work. I was exhausted from working that hard and still feeling like I couldn’t get ahead. So when I saw another option, I didn’t start because I had extra money, extra time, or some huge following. I started because I had $37 left after my bills and knew something had to change. I took what I was already doing on social media, sharing my life, talking to people, recommending things I loved, and decided to learn how to build something of my own alongside those two jobs. It was NOT overnight. It took work, consistency, uncomfortable conversations, and showing up through some really hard seasons. But eventually I was able to leave the restaurant. Then I was able to leave the bank. And now when Friday comes, I don't spend it already dreading Monday. That part means more to me than I could ever put into a paycheck. 🥹 So if you're working your tail off, watching your babies grow up, and wondering “Is this really what the rest of my life has to look like?” Maybe you don't need another job.
