my husband is 42 and his grandma (93) on his dad's side and his grandpa (94) on his mom's side are both still alive. I'm 39 and all of my bio and adopted grandparents are deceased. 🤷🏼♀️

My great grandparents (99 and 97 years old) are still alive and just celebrated their 79th anniversary. They have five kids (all in their 70s), 14 grandchildren ( all in their 50-60s), 37 great grand children (all in their 20-30s), and 13 great great grand children (ages nb-10). They are both still very healthy and active.

I think when you have grandparents when you're in your thirties you probably get to know them on a whole nother level as an adult so it's even more sad for you than if you're a kid and you lose your grandparents

Losing your grandparents in your 30s hits kinda hard. On one hand, you're kinda prepared for it because you're getting older, and you know they can't be around forever. But on the other hand, THEY WERE SUPPOSED TO BE AROUND FOREVER

Grandpa died when I was a baby. Grandma died when I was 8. Mom died when I was 26. People having grandparents that are alive feels foreign to me and I’ll be 30 this year 😂

I lost my grandma last year, I’m 42. Of course I feel grateful for the years I got to spend with her, but it’s still heartbreaking. Probably more so than if she had died when I was young, because it really hits home how much closer my parents are to passing away.

I’m nearly 40 and have 4 grandparents alive and feisty. My dad is 65 and my mom is 58. We are very blessed. My oldest daughter is 18 and they all could easily still be around to see great-great grandchildren.
