The word " Machikney " or Motherfucker in English, is not casual word for Nepali people - Except for New Gen , almost Everyone gets highly offended by this word because Nepalese don't take cussing Sister and Mother as a joke , they respect them alot so it's kinda breaking point .

yeah, it was not because they used the bad language, it was because they ignored the Sherpas' request to not climb while they were fixing ropes and furthermore are accused of throwing huge chunks of snow at the same Sherpas', either by accident while fast alpine climbing or purposefully because of the verbal altercation.

His treatment towards the sherpa must have been atrocious for the sherpa to slap him. Sherpas or Nepalis n general donot raise their hands against foreigners, except when they are provoked and pushed to the limit..That word alone night not have been the reason
